Emilja Kelly, LMHC has over 15 years experience in mental health counseling supporting young adults, adults, couples and families in a variety of settings. She specializes in the areas of substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, family dynamics/relational issues, and life transitions. Her passion is working with family members affected by addiction, such as spouses/partners, parents, and ACoA. Whomever she encounters in her counseling practice, she is committed to creating a comfortable and trusting therapeutic experience that allows individuals to feel accepted, empowered, and heard.
Emilja (pronounced Em-il-ia) is compassionate and dedicated to getting to know her clients and their stories. She helps them create treatment goals by exploring their biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. She enjoys providing a mix of psycho-education and evidenced-based practices and has extensive experience in motivational interviewing, harm reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness and person-centered therapy. Emilja believes in the resilience of the human spirit, and that all of us possess the insight and skills to lead a genuine, and fulfilling life.
